TRERICE (Wood), Helen E. - 92, Oxford, passed away August 6, 2007, in High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Oxford, she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Ruth (Hatt) Myatt. In her early years Helen worked at Davis and Swan Dry Goods Store, Oxford. After the death of her husband, Harry Wood, she moved to Whitehorse, Yukon, for a number of years, where she worked for Murdocks Gem Shop. Helen enjoyed visiting Florida for many winters, and also liked camping locally in the summer months. Helen is survived by sons, Delbert (Jillian) Wood, Grimsby, Ont.; Cyril (Sandra) Wood, Whitby, Ont.; Orent (Elizabeth) Wood, Oxford; brothers, Orent (Jean), Alexandra, Ont.; Calvin (Barbara), Comox, B.C.; grandchildren, Harry, Pam, Susan, Stephanie, Lorraine, and Jennifer; 12 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by first husband, Harry Wood; second husband, Utley Trerice; brother, Curtis; sister, Phyllis Brown. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Wednesday, August 8, followed immediately by funeral service at 4 p.m., with Rev. Gary MacDougall officiating, both in MacDiarmid's Funeral Home, 5075 Main St., Oxford (447-2930).
