Obit: TRITES, Corrine Georgie [WEBB]
TRITES, Corrine Georgie - It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Corrine Georgie Trites of Londonderry Station/Truro Heights, on July 29, 2007, after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born in Westchester on May 9, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Bligh and Ida (Brown) Webb. Corrine was a loving mother and grandmother who always put her family first. She will be sadly missed by her daughters, Denise (Wayne) Canfield, Krista (Paul) van Berkel; her son, Mark (Laura) Trites; grandchildren, Robbie, Michael, Ashley, Gabrielle, Kate, and Alex; her long-time companion, David Buckler and his children Julie, Brenda, Steven, Lori, and their families. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Trites; brothers, Lloyd and Deverne; sister, Ferne. Corrine loved old-time music and was a well-respected musician who was kept very busy as a piano accompanist at many musical gatherings. Her many talents included watercolour painting, baking, sewing and other crafts. Corrine worked for many years as a caregiver and completed her working years at the Palliser Restaurant. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 3, from 7-9 p.m. with a memorial service on Saturday, August 4, at 1 p.m., both in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Truro, with Rev. Morley Bentley officiating. Interment to follow in Folly Village Cemetery, Glenholme. Reception to follow the interment at Corrine's cottage in Little Bass River. Family flowers only.
