FINLEY (Slater), Marion - 90, Pugwash, passed away July 29, 2007, in East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Born in Springhill, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Pearl (Mitchell) Slater. Marion lived in Springhill until 1952, moving to Kentville, then Werl, Germany, in 1954, returning to Canada in 1962. She resided in Oromocto and Burton, N.B., until 1999 when she then moved to Centennial Villa in Amherst and in February 2007, moved to East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash. Wherever she lived Marion was involved in her church as well as the Order of The Eastern Star and Rebekah Lodge. She was Past Noble Grand of the Lady Minto No. 23, Springhill, and the Oromocto Rebekah Lodge No. 29. She was a lifetime member of the Margaret Lodge No. 41, O.E.S. of Oromocto. She attended the Oromocto United Church. She is survived by daughters, Joy Goudge (Keith), Fall River; Myrna Le Belle (Michael), Calgary, Alta.; Marjorie Goudge (Barry), Port Howe; grandchildren, Lauretta, Michael, Sheri, Mark, Shawn, and Christian; five great-grandchildren; brother, Harry Slater, Winnipeg, Man. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey Finley. Marion will be remembered fondly as a loving, kind and generous person, and will be sadly missed by all. There will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, in Calvary United Church, Port Howe, Rev. Susan Estabrooks officiating. Burial in the Port Howe Cemetery.
