CHAPMAN (Goodwin), Eileen Victoria - 86, Amherst, passed away after a lengthy illness in Cumberland Regional Health Centre on December 26, 2003. Born in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late Walter T. and Charlotte (MacDonald) Goodwin. She was a graduate of the Cumberland County Academy and the St. Charles' Commercial School. She was associated for many years with the family business, Goodwin's Supermarket Ltd. Eileen was a lifelong member of Trinity St. Stephen's United Church, and was active as a Sunday school teacher and superintendent, a leader in Canadian Girls in Training, a member of Square Circle and the United Church Women. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Eileen is survived by brothers, Ellis (Madelion), Mt. Brydges, Ont.; Walter (Truleen), Amherst. She is also survived by two nieces, four nephews, and four grandnephews. She was predeceased by twin brothers, Arthur and Mackenzie Goodwin. Cremation is to take place under the direction of Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst. Funeral service will be conducted by Rev. Allen Griffin at Trinity St. Stephen's United Church, time and date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Trinity St. Stephen's United Church, the Victorian Order of Nurses, or to a charity of one's choice.
