Obit: FRASER, Jean Elizabeth [MITCHELL]
FRASER, Jean Elizabeth - 88, Amherst, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan. Born in Wallace Bay, she was a daughter of the late Harvey and Dorothy (Smith) Mitchell. She attended Wallace Bay School until graduation from high school. Jean moved to Amherst and lived with her cousin Myrtle and worked at the Two Barkers Store and later worked at other jobs in the area. She was later employed in the office and was manager of the Victorian Motel for over 20 years until retirement. Jean enjoyed playing bridge with her friends as well as duplicate bridge for many years. She is survived by sisters, Myrna Mundle, Pugwash; Pearl (Fred) Russell, Wallace Bay; brother, Gerald (Ramona) Mitchell, Moncton, N.B.; also several nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Lloyd; brothers, Merlin Mitchell and Sherman Mitchell. Her remains are resting in Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst, with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 19, at 2 p.m. in Campbell's Chapel with Pastor Brent Foster officiating.
