The death of Gail Rena Raynes, loving wife of John (Jack) Raynes, occurred on Thursday July 12, 2007 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born 1946 in Amherst, NS she was the daughter of the late Patrick and Doreen (Patterson) O"Donnell. Gail was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Besides her loving husband Jack she is survived by her sons John Raynes (Roxanne), David Raynes and Kevin Raynes (Mary) all of Saint John; daughter Vicky Moore of Saint John; mother-in-law, Helen Speight of Saint John; four grandchildren, Steven, Channelle, Kylee and Wyatt; brothers Robert O'Donnell (Donna) and Patrick O'Donnell (Betty) both of Saint John; sisters Diane Moore (James) of Saint John and Ruth Despres (Cleo) of Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visitations on Sunday July 15, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Bridget's Catholic Church, Chapel Grove, on Tuesday July 17, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Loyalist Cemetery, Hardings Point.
