Obit: THOMPSON, Helen Lovica [PECK]

THOMPSON, Helen Lovica - 89, Truro, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2007, in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro. Born in River Hebert, she was a daughter of the late Percy and Lovica (Negus) Peck. Helen worked as a secretary and bookkeeper. She and her husband, Gordon ran a family farm in Belnan until his death. She later worked as vice president of D.P. Waste Disposal Ltd. in Elmsdale. She was an adherent of the United Church of Canada and president of the Young At Hearts Club. Helen is survived by a sister, Florence Carter, Truro; several nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon; brothers, George, Art, Sid, Neil and Don; sisters, May, Dot, Kaye, Margaret, Jessie and Lois. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A graveside service will be held Thursday, July 12 at 2 p.m. in Sandy Hills Cemetery, Belnan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Sandy Hills Cemetery, Belnan.
