Obituary for Joseph OLIVA 'Slim' Arsenault

ARSENEAULT, Joseph Oliva "Slim" ARSENEAULT, Joseph Oliva "Slim" - 74, Truro, Colchester Co., passed away October 23, 2006, in Colchester Regional Hospital. Born in Ste-Isidore, N.B., on March 5, 1932, he was a son of the late John and Adeline Arseneault. He is survived by his wife and partner in life for almost 50 years, Geraldine (Coram); son, Keith, Halifax; daughter, Johanne, Robbinsville, N.J. He is also survived by sisters, Eva and Josephine, Saint John, N.B.; Yvonne and Annette, Montreal; brothers, Jules and Ben, Michigan; and Gus, Toronto; numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by sisters, Julie and Liza; brothers, Donat, Azade, Ted, and Joseph. Slim's career for 35 years before his retirement in 1996 was building, sanding and repairing bowling alleys, making numerous friends along the way with his wit and humour. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Mattatall Funeral Home. In respect of his and his family's wishes, there will be no
visitation or service. Burial of ashes and memorial service will take place on or about May 14, 2007, in Ocean View Memorial Gardens, Saint John, N.B. Donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
