I agree with Eric, there's lots of connections within these McCully's,
either by blood or through marriage.
Although not actively researching these particular McCully's, I do have one
correction though.
Emerson Frederick McCully m/1 Ethel Gladys Newcombe; m/2 Ruby Leota
MacGillivary; not the other way around.
Emerson Frederick McCully m/1 Ethel Gladys Newcombe 20 Oct 1925 in the
Baptist Church in Parrsboro by Rev. Lyttle. Ethel petitions for a divorce
from Emerson on the grounds Emerson committed adultery with Ruby while still
married to her. Divorce was granted 26 Jan 1934 at Halifax.
Emerson and Ethel have issue of Elizabeth "Lizzie" Newcombe McCully, born 22
Nov 1927. Emerson later marries Ruby while Ethel later marries Clarence Leon
Fiendel. Elizabeth Newcombe McCully marries Hugh Carleton Jenkins 14 Sep
1946 in Parrsboro.
Emerson and Ruby have issue of Morris McCully, born about 1934 and drowns 29
Apr 1936 in Ward's Brook and Stewart "Stu" McCully, born about 1937 and dies
18 Apr 1990 in Barrie, Ont.
Clarence and Ethel have issue of Lois-Jean Augusta Fiendel, born 21 Jul
1936. Possibility only Clarence had a previous relationship before marrying
Ethel with issue of Amy Ettia Fiendel. Otherwise, Amy is issue of Clarence
and Ethel.

Parrsboro - Mrs. Ethel G. Feindell, 84, of Whitehall Road, Parrsboro, died
Wednesday in Parrsboro Hospital. Born in Parrsboro, she was a daughter of
the late Capt. Robert and Elizabeth (Campbell) Newcombe. She was a graduate
of Acadia University. She is survived by three daughters, Lois Jean (Mrs.
Thomas Rosemand), Surrey, B.C.; Amy (Mrs. Leigh Stewart), Halifax; Mrs.
Elizabeth Jenkins, Denver, Colo.; six grandchildren and six great
grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Clarence. The body is in
Smith's Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral will be 4 p.m. Friday in St.
George's Anglican Church, Rev. Whitney Trueman officiating. Burial will be
in church cemetery. Donations may be made to any charity.

Smith, Barrie, Ont.; brother, Lorne, Parrsboro; sisters, Mrs. Gertrude
Newcombe, Parrsboro; Mrs. Carrie Legere, Amherst; Mrs. Marita Hannah,
Springhill; Mrs. Ruby Allen, Fox River; granddaughters, Debbie Ellis,
Brandon McCully, Erin McCully, Jackie Jenkins; grandsons, Larry McCully;
David Jenkins; great granddaughters, Brittany McCully, Leslie Stoneham;
great-grandsons, Jimmy Ellis, Clinton Stoneham; several nieces and nephews,
including Rev. Jean Simms-Mills, and husband Gerry, Fraserville with whom he
lived periodically for several years. He was predeceased by his wife, the

The funeral for Morris McCully, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Emerson McCully
Jr. was held at the home at two o'clock on Wednesday, April 29. The service

But Thine O Lord" and "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus". Interment was at
Spencer's Island Cemetery.

27, 2000, at home, Parrsboro. Born in Odgensburg, N.Y., he was a son of the
late Willis and Agnes (Warren) Newton. He was a dispatcher with the Newark,
New Jersey Fire Department for 25 years. He later was a realtor for 20 years
in Morristown, N.J. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for 68 years and
was a member of the Shrine Banjo Band, Sahib Temple, Sarasota, Florida. He
was also a member of the Mad River Masonic Lodge, Waitsfield, Vermont. He is
survived by his wife, the former, Lois-jean Fiendel; daughter, Gail, and her
husband, Dr. Frederick Roeser, Clarkston, Mich.; sister, Hilda Earle,
Montpelier, Vt.; grandsons, Michael, Todd, Fred; great-grandchildren,
Michael Fred, Emily, Sarah, Davis; niece, Pauline Tyler, Barre, Vt.; special
