Re: Downtown Shinimicas

Okay folks here is your problem.

Shinimicas is that place up the road that we here in LOWER Shinimicas barely tolerate as we drive through. Them there folks up there in Shinimicas or what used to be Shinimicas Bridge are an uppity lot that would barely wave or give ya the time of day! We put our head down and drive through hoping no one throws stones as we trek to The Shiretown. You do not want to see them up close let alone from space.

Ya have to get your self off the big highway ( Sunrise Trail) to get to this pristine example of heaven on earth.( That would be Lower Shinimicas) Oh yes we are a thriving metropolis, well the last business directory for this fair hamlet was published as recently as approx 1860, too boot and we had a cooper! I heard rumours that a buggy whip factory may open here any time. One cannot hold back progress, that's what I say!

We got a new road with two lanes, one each way, and shiny new culverts and snow plows have been sighted in the winter despite how we vote.( One damn Liberal in the whole community and THEY hold it against us, and that was my Mother who does not even live here no more!)

Alas there has been a concerted effort to reduce the only visible structure from space ( well there is that pyramid thing over in Egypt but I think that was a scam. A pyramid scheme them city fellers called them)!) our beautiful and bountiful manure piles.

Truck loads have been seen in the dead of night removing this effluent and rumour has it that this earthy gold has been sold to Alberta in return for some Ralph Klein dollars. Seems fair!

Should you ever get to Lower Shinimicas have no fear, you will know where you are. The air is cleaner, the sun brighter , the blue sky bluer, the grass greener ( really it is as I am on the other side you see). You will feel enlightened and refreshed with a simple trip though our village. Your life span will increase and your hair will be thicker. ( hell my nose got longer)

That's LOWER SHINIMICAS the Cultural and Educational Center of Northern Nova Scotia ( dont'cha know!)

Adieu ( That's good bye in my other mothers tongue as we is multi lingual. Thanks Pierre)
