Miss. Jean Marie Smith Tuesday, February 17, 1953 to Saturday, March 18, 2006

Jean Marie Smith age 53, of Shinimicas, passed away on Saturday, March 18, 2006 at Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Upper Nappan surrounded by her family. Born in Amherst she was a daughter of William Arnold Smith Sr. of Shinimicas and the late Pauline Hazel (Fillmore) Smith. She was a member of Sunrise Trinity United Church and a member of the U.C.W.. Jean was an avid supporter of Sunrise Senior Citizens and the Church newsletter "All About Us." She spent her life always caring for others. She is survived by brothers Arnold (Barb) of Shinimicas, Stewart (Bev) of Truemanville, Brian (Gretchen) of Shinimicas; sisters Hazel (Paul) Mahaney of Warren, Linda (Gerald) Clarke of Corn Hill, NB, Nancy of Cole Harbour, NS.;sister in law Susan Smith of Shinimicas; numerous nieces and nephews. Jean was predeceased by her brother Ross and sister Brenda. Her remains are resting at Campbell's Funeral Home, 98 Church St., Amherst (902-667-9906) with visiting on Monday, March 20, 2006 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 2 p.m. from the Sunrise Trinity United Church, Amherst Head, with Rev. Steven Longmoore officiating. Interment will take place in the Shinimicas Cemetery. Donations in Jean's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Blood Services, Palliative Care Unit, Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre or charity of your choice. www.campbells-amherst.ca
