ARCHIBALD, Dorothy Isobel - 84, passed away May 31, 2006, at home. She was born in Fox River, Cumberland Co., on May 22, 1922. Isabel attended the Halifax Infirmary School of Nursing and graduated in 1943. A long-time member of the Cathedral Church of All Saints in Halifax, she was a steadfast, loyal and hardworking member of the Anniversary Group of the ACW. She is survived by daughter, Mary Lou; son, David (Nancy Alford); grandchildren, Alex and Ian Alford Archibald; son-in-law, George Hawkins; grandchildren, Amy and Nicholas Hawkins; brother, Loring Kerr, Port Granville [GREVILLE]; sister-in-law, Mary Archibald, Halifax; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, James and Dorothy Archilbald, Baddeck; many nieces and nephews, and a large and loving extended family. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis J. Archibald; daughter, Anne Hawkins; brothers, Jack (Annapolis Royal); Joseph (British Columbia); sisters, Marion (British Columbia); Evelyn (New York). Funeral service will be held Saturday, June 3, at 2 p.m. in Cathedral Church of All Saints, 1330 Tower Rd., Halifax. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.A. Snow Funeral Home. While her parents' names are not provided, I believe her birth surname to be Kerr based on the inclusion of her brother as "Loring Kerr". - Eric
