Obit: MORRISON, Dolly Isabel

MORRISON, Dolly Isabel - 95, Englishtown, Victoria Co., died February 20, 2006. Born in Englishtown, Victoria Co., she was a daughter of the late Angus B. and Mary Jane (Campbell) Morrison. She was a member of St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Englishtown. Dolly taught school in Indian Brook, Victoria Co., as a young woman. In later years, she operated Morrison's General Store, while raising a family. She was a life member of St. Mark's AMS, member of Victoria County Memorial Hospital and Alderwood Auxiliaries, active in the Englishtown Home & School Association and the Red Cross Society. Dolly and Harry's home was always open to friends and family. She is survived by son, Harold A. Morrison (Sylvia), Ottawa, Ont.; daughters, Mary Jane MacNeil (Art), Sydney; Dianne Grant (Earl), Englishtown. She is also survived by many nephews and nieces; grandchildren, Wendy, Alan, Jamie, Judy, Janice, Kathie, Stuart and Darlene; great-grandchildren, Jennifer, Justin, J.R., Robbie, and Dylan. She was predeceased by beloved husband, Harry in 1988; sisters, Tina, Peggy, Agnes, Etta, Annabelle, and brother, John C. The body is resting in St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Englishtown, with visitation from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, February 22. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 23, in St. Mark's Presbyterian Church with Rev. Shirley Murdock officiating. Burial will be in Bayview Cemetery. Donations may be made to St. Mark's Presbyterian Church, Englishtown, or a charity of one's choice. Arrangements under the direction of MacAskill Funeral Home, Baddeck.
