Hi Kathryn,

By any chance would you have the actual obituary of Gordon Mattatall of Westchester?

Thanks

Tree tops, power and telephone lines and poles toppled under the weight
of tons of ice on January 6-7 when the worst sleet storm in history
caused millions of dollars worth of damage, cutting off electric power
and telephones over Northern Nova Scotia and Annapolis Valley. Oxford
was without electric power for a full week and many rural areas for a
much longer period. Ice built up to an unbelievable thickness on wires
and tree limbs. Forty-nine power poles were down between Oxford Jct.
and Dunc. Bishop's on the Valley Road. Most of the poles were down in
Leicester, Roslin, Rockley and West Pugwash. Oxford's week without
lights was a week to remember and revealed just how much electricity and
telephones contribute to modern living conditions.

New officers of Oxford Legion Branch No. 36 are Vernon MITCHELL-
