LeBLANC, Allison Joseph "Al" - Born in River Hebert on August 25, 1932, died peacefully on Wednesday, September 29, 2004. He was the son of the late Stephen LeBlanc and Romana White. He was the husband of Esther (Hennessey). Allison was an employee of Sears for 36 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Lawrence Parish, the Metro Merry Makers/Ocean Waves Square Dance Club, and a charter member of the Bluenose R.V. Squares, Chapter 182. Besides his wife, Esther, he is survived by his sister, Pearl Comeau, Mississauga, Ont.; several nieces and nephews; Godchildren and Gina Young. In his own words, "I have felt truly blessed by the love, support and care I received from family, friends and neighbors; the prayerful community of St. Lawrence Parish; Father Francis Vog-Enga; Father Henry Kline; Father Owen Connolly; Father Albert Cosgrove; faithful and compassionate family physician, Dr. William Acker; Monica Flinn and all the 'angels' of the Home Palliative Care and the VON. God bless you all." Visitation will take place on Sunday, October 3, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. in Atlantic Funeral Home, 6552 Bayers Rd., Halifax. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Monday, October 4, at 10 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Father Francis Vog-Enga officiating. Reception to follow in St. Lawrence Church Family Centre. Burial to follow Tuesday, October 5, in Joggins. Family flowers please.
