PEPPERDINE (nee Spence), Dorothy Viola

PEPPERDINE (nee Spence), Dorothy Viola - 75, 40 Pine St., Springhill, passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2003, in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Nappan, Cumberland Co. Born in Springhill, she was a daughter of the late Edward and Rhoda (Boss) Spence. She was a member of St. Andrew-Wesley United Church, Springhill. She enjoyed watching the Toronto Blue Jay baseball games, walking, knitting, sewing and her home. She is survived by her husband, Herbert Pepperdine; brothers, Edward (Mary) Spence, Wayne (Florence) Spence, both of Springhill; sisters, Gloria (Bud) Anderson, Carol (Lorne) Lockhart, Sheila (Caleb) Woods, all of Springhill; Brenda (Bill) Ramsey, Annapolis Valley; Beverly Colburne, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place under the direction of A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. No visitation or funeral service as per the wishes of Dorothy. A graveside committal service will be held 2 p.m. Friday, May 9, in Hillside Cemetery, Springhill, Rev. Ken Thompson officiating. Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Lung Association of Nova Scotia.
