PORTER (nee Parlee), Avelena "Evie" Jean March 20, 1925 - June 30, 2004
Avelena Jean (Evie) Porter of Amherst passed away peacefully on Wednesday June 30, 2004 at home in her 79th year. Born in Maccan N.S., she was a daughter of the late Elias and Marceline (Comeau) Parlee. Evie is survived by her husband Clayton Porter; son Keith (Nancy) Thibault of Langley, B.C.; daughter Lynn (Robert) Bourdeau of Cornwall ON.; stepdaughter Donna Porter of Grand Cache Alb.; stepsons Roger (Pam) Porter of Cold Lake Alb. Michael Porter of Pugwash N.S., and Garry (Jan) Porter of Bridgewater N.S.; brothers Arthur (Emily) Parlee of London ON., Ernest (Alma) of Nappan N.S., Roy (Nancy) Parlee of Amherst N.S., and Murray (Shirley) of Ormocto N.B.; sisters June Sinclaire of Montreal P.Q., Evelyn Hagemeyer of Alliston ON., Dorthy Dankeart of Leamington ON., Joan Parlee of Mount Bridges ON and Bettylou Leslie of Kingsville ON.; 15 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Frank and sisters Lou and Gwen and also her grandson Robert Thibault. A memorial service will be held on Saturday July 3, 2004 at 2 p.m. in Campbell?s Chapel with Rev. Marion Lloy officiating. Interment will take place at a later date in the Mount Royal Cemetery in Montreal P.Q. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dr. Georges?
