O'CONNOR, Ellen Elizabeth "Nell" - 97, Pugwash, died Friday, October 21, 2005, in North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash. Born in Diligent River, she was a daughter of the late James and Mary (Guilderson) O'Connor. Nell worked as a nurse for 50 years at St. Raphael's Hospital in New Haven, Conn. She returned to Pugwash after retiring. Over the years, Nell was a very active member of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Pugwash. She is survived by her sister, Peggy (Ed) Mullins, Halifax; nephew, James (Dawn) Mullins, Ottawa, Ont.; nieces, Maureen (Pete) Buell, Halifax; Ann (Bill) Rhude, Halifax Co.; Kathleen (Rod) Miller, Pictou Co. She was predeceased by brothers, Vincent and Joseph; sister, Kay O'Connor, and a sister in infancy; nephew, David Mullins. A special thank you to Randy Bonnyman and family for being so good to Nell over the years. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. today in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash (243-2506). Funeral mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 25, in St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Pugwash, Father David MacDonald officiating. Donations may be made to St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, North Cumberland Memorial Hospital, Pugwash, or a charity of choice. Condolences may be sent to the family at:
