Wayne DONCASTER has retired after 40 years of service with the Bank of
Nova Scotia.

Thanks to the generosity of the Winston ALLEN family of Allen's Funeral
Home, Oxford, a new granite marker has been erected and for the first
time since it was incorporated in 1890, Pine Grove Cemetery is
officially designated.

Died - Reta Frances MACPHERSON, 92, Springhill, October 6.
Died - Bertha Marion ADAMS, 96, Westchester, October 2.
Died - Mary Catherine JOLLIMORE, 85, Tatamagouche, October 5.

Lynn AUSTIN, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley AUSTIN, Wentworth,
has been chosen to take part in the Paramount Pictures production,
"Children of a Lesser God," being filmed in Rothesay, NB.

Died - Mrs. Helena M. (Peggy WEATHERBY) LYNDS, 70, Tatamagouche.

Cecil FULTON, well-known Tatamagouche druggist, will be honored by one
of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturers at a special convention in
Richmond, Va., for outstanding community service in pharmacy.

It was standing room only for the several hundred people who attended
the official opening of East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash, on September 27.

Died - Wilfred L. RUSHTON, 81, Oxford, September 27.
Died - Merton BEEBE, Wentworth, September 15.

Mayes MULLINS, a native of Oxford and living in Trenton, was the first
student to go solo at Pulsifer Bros. Flying School after 8.5 hours of
instruction.
