OBIT FOR - FREDERICK RITCHIE MCGLASHING

This obituary is for my grandfather who was from Tidnish & Amherst -
Dated 1974: Frederick Ritchie McGlashing of 42 Grove St.
Wilmington, Mass. father of Richard George McGlashing of Woburn,
Mass. passed away Tuesday at the Haverhill Manor Home, Haverhill -
following a lengthy illness. He was 76 years of age. Born in
Tidnish, Nova Scotia Mr. McGlashing was the son of the late John
Ritchie McGlashing and Elizabeth (McKinnon) McGlashing. He served
in the Canadian Army during World War 1 and has been a Wilmington
resident for the past 30 years. Prior to his retirement he was
employed as the Parts Manager for the Boston Cab Company. Surviving
are his wife, Ella May (Cameron) McGlashing a son Richard G. of
Woburn and a daughter Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Keough of Wilmington, a
sister Mrs. Electa MacPherson of Billerica - 7 grandchildren and 6
great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the W.S.
Cavanaugh and son Funeral Home, 374 Main St. Wilmington, Friday at
the convenience of the family. Rev. Richard Evans of the United
Methodist Church of Wilmington will officiate. There are no
visiting hours and burial will be at Wildwood Cemetary in
Wilmington. "Not" mentioned in his obit was another sister
Bessie Steele (McGlashing) Horne - brother William Hugh McGlashing -
Chalmers R. McGlashing and Lloyd A. McGlashing - they may have
already passed on - I do know Bessie had as she died in 1959.
