Re: 1911 Census - Automated Genealogy Site

Neil,
Volunteers are expected to claim whole pages on the AG site.

I'm working on an all-names index of Calgary south of the Bow River which
includes several Cumberland families who moved west in 1909. City pages are
often very hard to read with little detail for single individuals in
boarding houses. If anyone from the Cumberland list is looking for relatives
who moved west or worked in Calgary in 1911, I'll try to help find them. The
sub-districts added after 1906 census are already listed, but many names had
to be guessed.

This is a preliminary project so that I can search readable names and some
of the house numbers to FIND pages with people of interest to transcribe for
one of the projects. Some people listed in the 1911 city directory were not
counted at the same address in June 1911 census. Many of the people in 1906
census moved to different addresses by 1911 as the city expanded. One of the
Peel families may have moved back to Nova Scotia before the census. --
