Obituary - Joyce, Willard Archibald - 65, Waterfront Drive, Bedford, died November 11, 1997, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Infirmary Site. Born in Tatamagouche, he was a son of Grace (Jollimore) (Joyce) Annis, Middleton, N.S., and the late Willard Joyce. He served with the Royal Canadian Navy and established the first Tim Horton's store in Nova Scotia on Wyse Road in Dartmouth. He was instrumental in establishing the Tim Horton's Children's Camp in Tatamagouche. He is survived by his former first wife, Roma Mapplebeck; his second wife, the former Nancy Novak; sons, Willard Jr., Mark and Christopher, all of Digby; Justin and Nicholas, both of Bedford; brother, Ronald, Calgary, Alta.; sister, Gwen (Mrs. Gord Oliver), Kitchener, Ont.; grandchildren, Aaron, Jennifer, Amanda-Grace and Christi. The body has been cremated under the direction of J. Albert Walker and Sons Funeral home, Dartmouth. A memorial service will be held 2:30 p.m. Sunday, November 16, at Tim Horton's Children's Camp, Tatamagouche, Rev. Ruth Main officiating, followed by an appropriate celebration in honour of Willard's zest for life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tim Horton's Children's Foundation.
