DYAS, Charles B. - 85, Truro and Parrsboro, died Friday, April 1, 2005, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born in Montreal, he was a son of the late Charles and Carolyn (Bogart) Dyas. He is survived by his wife, Joyce (MacGillivray); daughters, Barbara Pollotta, Rochester, N.Y.; Susan Holwell and companion David Doane, Keswick, Ont.; son, Kenneth (Dawn), Truro; sister, Elizabeth Anthony, Menton, France and Karsdale; brother, Frederick (Irma) Marietta, Ga. and Parrsboro; stepsister, Sylvia Sinn, Lennoxville, Que.; stepbrother, Les Kirkpatrick, Halifax; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son, John and daughter, Nancy. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 p.m. in Trinity United Church, Parrsboro, Rev. Donna Lovelace and Rev. Robert Latimer officiating. Burial in the church Cemetery with a reception to follow in the church hall. Memorial donations may be made to the Colchester Regional Hospital Palliative Care Fund or Age of Sail Museum.
