OBITUARY
HICKS, Davida Ruth - 76, Gables Lodge, Amherst, died July 28, 1993, in
Highland View Regional Hospital, Amherst. Born in Wallace, Cumberland
County, she was a daughter of the late Norman and Sarah (Rhindress)
McFadden. She is survived by seven daughters, Peggy Woodworth, Calgary;
Leta (Mrs. Rodrick Briggs), Oakville, Ont.; Charlotte (Mrs. Charles
Ward), Sarah (Mrs. Mike Ward), both of Comox, B.C.; Jennie (Mrs. Harold
Fage), Sharon (Mrs. Allison Taylor), Doreen (Mrs. Aubrey Holland), all
of Amherst; son, Billy, Calgary; three stepdaughters, Muriel Brine,
Little Forke; Mable Fagan, Verlie Brine, both of Joggins; stepson,
Raymond Berry, Springhill; two sisters, Jennie McLellan, Moncton;
Prudence (Mrs. Rod McKinnon), Toronto; several grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. She was predeceased
by her first husband, Leonard Berry; second husband, Wilfred Hicks; two
infant daughters, Delores, Eileen; son, Sonny; stepdaughter, Nellie
Berry; several sisters and brothers. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m.
today in Furlong's Funeral Home, Amherst, where funeral will be 2 p.m.
Saturday, Albert Ramsay officiating. Burial will be in Maccan
Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Heart and
Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or Nova Scotia Lund Association.
