PEI. Charles is the son of Mrs. Hazel Mills and the late Layton Mills.

Arnold DOBSON, Westchester, is one of 30 students from Nova Scotia
attending Forest Technician classes at the Maritime Forest Ranger School
at Fredericton.

Died - Eric Leslie CARTER, 13, son of Leslie and Earlene Carter, East

Died - Fred H. TRERICE, 74, until three years ago a well-known resident
of East Leicester, February 6.

Frank KING's blacksmith shop was totally destroyed by fire on February 6.

The members of the Oxford Volunteer Fire Department, with Elisha MILLER
as chief, held a banquet at the Oxford House on February 8. Chief of
Police, Mr. W.W. THOMPSON, spoke about Oxford's first fire department,
formed in 1901, when he was chief of the newly formed department.

Died - Mrs. Margaret Jane CHAPMAN, 84, Mt. Pleasant, January 24.

Greg, Grant, and daughter, Kim. Predeceased by daughter in infancy, Nancy.

CHOISNET, Beverly Ruth, 77, New Glasgow, formerly of Springhill, Friday,
February 11, 2005. Born in Springhill, daughter of Ralph and Loretta
(BOUCHER) MADDISON. Husband - late Carroll F. CHOISNET. Children -
David, and Marie. Siblings - Ralph and Glyn.

COULTER, Claude Culton, 81, Wallace Station, Wednesday morning, February
9, 2005. Born in Wallace Station on July 31, 1923, son of Emmerson and
Jane (MACEACHERN) COULTER. Wife of 59 years - Sally (PATRIQUIN).
Children - Muriel, Darrell, Jerry, Ken, and predeceased by Sheila.
Siblings - Beulaah, Kaye, Freeman, Layton, and predeceased by Dorothy,
Roland, and infant brother Charles.

in Truro, son of Robert and Hazel (TEAS) ROSS. Wife - Beryl HIGGINS.

SMITH, Hattie May, 60, Sackville, NB, formerly of Shinimicas, Tuesday,
February 8, 2005. Born in Amherst, daughter of Leigh and Margaret
SMITH. Predeceased by sisters, Margaret "Rose" on February 5, 2005, and

MELANSON, Ruth Ann, 59, Springhill, Tuesday, February 8, 2005. Born in
Amherst, daughter of Nordby L. and Jean R. (ALLEN) BROWN. Husband -
Douglas E. MELANSON. Children - Angela, Norby, and predeceased by
daughter Lisa Jane. Siblings - Sonia, Philip and predeceased by

BLACK, Winifred (Elaine), born December 25, 1926 in Surrey, England,
died January 24, 2005 in Saanich Peninsula Hospital. Husband of 57
years, Eric, a former resident of Oxford. Son - Robert. Siblings -
