GOODWIN, Arnold K. - 73, Southampton, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2005, in Cumberland Regional Health Centre, Nappan. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the late John and Laura (Brown) Goodwin. He is survived by his wife, Gracie (Fife); daughter, Helen; sons, Keith (Patricia), John (Crystal), all of Southampton; sister, Sandra (William) Hunter; brother, Gary (Sharon) Leamington; nine grandchildren. He was predeceased by infant daughter, Susan; sisters, Firth Dickson, Gail Malay; brothers, William and Douglas. He operated A.K. Goodwin Enterprises for more than 50 years. He was also a member of the Nova Scotia Maple Producers Association. He was a former Cumberland County Councillor Member of many boards, including Parrsboro School, Cumberland District School, All Saints Hospital, East Cumberland Lodge, as well as being an Elder in Southampton United Church and member of the Knights of Pythias Southampton for 50 years. Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Saturday in Smiths Funeral Home, Parrsboro. Funeral at 2 p.m. on Sunday in Southampton United Church, Rev. Danny Compton officiating.
