GALLAGHER, Clarence "Curtis" - 82, High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill, formerly of Lynn Road, Cumberland Co., passed away on Monday, March 7, 2005, in High Crest. Born in Southampton, he was a son of the late Clarence and Margaret (Rolfe) Gallagher. Curtis spent most of his working years in lumbering and also working at the experimental farm in Nappan for 17 years, retiring in 1987. He enjoyed gardening and sharing his crops, hunting, bowling, card parties, his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, the former Emily Brown, Lynn Road; sons, Jim (Debbie) Gallagher, David (Evelyn) Gallagher, Bill Gallagher, all of Lynn Road; Dwight (Linda) Gallagher, Springhill; daughters, Edna (Darrell) Smith, Springhill; Dorothy (Brenton) Booth, Mapleton; Marlene (Wayne) Millard, Lynn Road; Rhonda (Darrel) Bradbury, Southampton; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; brothers, Chester (Gloria) Gallagher and Wylie (Joyce) Gallagher, both of Southampton; Winston (Helen) Gallagher, Economy; sister, Evelyn Brown, Oxford; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by grandson, Ronnie Gallagher; great-granddaughter, Brooklyn Booth; brothers, George and Kenneth; sisters, Margaret and Hazel. Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. today and 3-4 p.m. Thursday, March 10, followed immediately at 4 p.m. by the funeral service, Rev. Bob Mack officiating. Visitation and service to be held in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill. Burial will take place in the Brown Cemetery, South Brook, at a later date. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
