OBITUARY
Lower Gulf Shore, Jan. 24 - Friends and relatives of Mrs. Arabella ROSS,
wife of the late James P. Ross, Lower Gulf Shore, will regret to hear of
her death which occurred at her home here January 20, 1941, as a result
of pneumonia. The deceased was 78 years old. She leaves to mourn her
passing two sons, James and John, at home; four sisters, Mrs. George
Crozier, New York; Mrs. Ira Bird, Saskatoon; Jean and Margaret MacKay,
Pictou; four brothers, John MacKay, Brule; Robert D. MacKay, Balmoral
Mills, Neil H. MacKay, Los Angeles; J. Arthur MacKay, Bedford. The
funeral service was held from the home Wednesday, January 22, Rev.
George Beck conducted the service and M. Gillis was funeral director.
The hymns sung were "The Lord is My Shepherd", "What a Friend We Have in
Jesus" and "Abide With Me". Many friends and relatives gathered to pay
their last respects and to extend to the family deepest sympathy in
their late sad bereavement. Interment was made in the MacKenzie
Cemetery. Among the beautiful floral tributes were sprays from James
and John; Munroe Auxiliary; Sanor, Varina and family; Robert and Carrie;
Neil; Mr. and Mrs. Morrell Langille and family; Margaret, Grace and Jessie.
