LANGILLE, M Viola - 78, Oxford, Cumberland Co., formerly of Acton, Ont., passed away peacefully in Cumberland Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst, on Saturday, February 19, 2005, with her family by her side. Born in West Tatamagouche, Colchester Co., she was the daughter of the late Alexander A. "Sandy" and M. Elizabeth "Liz" (Simpson) Cameron. Prior to her retirement she was employed in different factories in Acton, Ont. for 25 years. Following her retirement she and her husband moved to Oxford and owned and operated Vi's Variety Store for six years, she was very interested and involved in antique cars and attended the antique car shows. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, G. Vance Langille; daughters, Beverley E. Vlietstra (John), Owen Sound, Ont.; Brenda E. Payne (Michael), Grand Valley, Ont.; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a number of cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Lawson Cameron. There will be no visitation or funeral service at the request of the deceased. A graveside committal service will be held in Oxford Pine Grove Cemetery at a later date, Rev. Edgar Patriquin officiating. Donations may be made to the Lillian Allbon Cumberland County Animal Shelter or Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of Allen's Funeral Home, 60 Water St., Oxford.
