RUSHTON, Annie Lavenia - 99, Gables Lodge, Amherst, formerly of Springhill, passed away on Wednesday, February 16, 2005, in Gables. Born in Black River, Cumberland Co., she was a daughter of the late David Walter and Margaret (McCallum) Morse and the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of the United Baptist Church in Springhill. Annie possessed a deep love for her home and family and especially her dog, as she was an avid animal lover. She is survived by daughter, Freda Babineau, Centennial Villa, Amherst; nieces, Carolyn (Wayne) McCarther and Marion (Lester) Smith. She was predeceased by her husband, Wylie James Rushton; sister, Oressa McLellan; brothers, Harry, Russell, and David. Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. Saturday, February 19, in A.H. Brown Funeral Home, Springhill, followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. with Rev. Wayne McCarther officiating, assisted by Rev. Perry Hanley. Spring burial in Pine Grove Cemetery, Oxford. Donations in Annie's memory can be made to the United Baptist Church in Springhill, L.A. Animal Shelter in Nappan or a charity of one's choice.
