JEFFERS, George R.
JEFFERS, George R. - 62, Jenks Avenue, Parrsboro, passed away
Saturday, February 12, 2005, as the result of a house fire. Born in
Lakelands, he was a son of the late Roy and Dorothy (Meldrum)
Jeffers. He retired from the Canadian Armed Forces after 21 years of
service. He later worked as a Commissionaire in Kingston, Ont.,
before moving to Parrsboro. He is survived by daughters, Sherry
Jeffers, Parrsboro; Suzanne MacKenzie, Toronto; Sandra Compston
(Harold), Kingston, Ont.; sons, Anthony, Parrsboro; Michael,
Kingston; granddaughters, Jessica Jeffers, Parrsboro; Shannon
MacKenzie, Toronto; sisters, Rosella Fader (Gerald) and Bertha
Rector (Basil), both of Parrsboro; brothers, Leon, Oromocto, N.B.;
Floyd (Betty), Parrsboro; John (Belle), Zephyr Hills, Fla.; David,
Halifax. He was predeceased by sister, Linda; brothers, Everett and
Lee. Visitation today from 7-9 p.m. in Smith's Funeral Home,
Parrsboro, where funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Rev.
Donna Lovelace officiating. Burial in United Cemetery. Memorial
