NELSON, J. William "Bill" - A celebration of the life of Bill Nelson, who passed away January 11, 2005, in Sackville, N.B., was held at Jones Funeral Home on January 15 2005. The memorial service conducted by Rev. Dr. Jamie Gripton began with an audiovisual tribute to Bill's life. Music by "Ernie & Friends" and Mrs. Leonette Nelson was appreciated by the large number of family and friends present. Mr. Nelson was born March 13 1931, in Amherst, the son of Fred and Georgina (English) Nelson. Bill was a "people" person who enjoyed being manager of Green Gables Dairy and owning the Aulac Shell Service Station. He is survived by children, Robert (Leonette), Cheryle Waterlot (Leon Gautreau), both of Sackville, N.B., and Richard (Nora) Stratford, P.E.I. Also surviving are four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren and sister, Jean McNutt, Bible Hill. He was predeceased by wife, Betty (Maxwell); siblings, Carl, Norman, Rhoda, Myrtle, Elspa, Grace, Marion and Wallace Vernon in infancy.
