Mrs. John CHISHOLM

The community was shocked to learn of the very sudden death of Mrs. John CHISHOLM, at an early hour, on Tuesday, march 10th, at her home in South Oxford. Mrs. CHISHOLM, in apparently good health, attended the meeting of the Women's Institute on Monday evening and was one with others, who volunteered to solicit the town in aid for the starving families in Cape Breton. On returning home at 10 o'clock, she complained of a pain in her back, which gradually grew worse. Medical aid was summoned, but in spite of everything that could be done, Mrs. CHISHOLM's condition became critical and she passed away at 6:49 Tuesday morning.Mrs. CHISHOLM has made many friends during her short stay in Oxford and the sympathy of the entire community goes out to the bereaved family.Besides a sorrowing husband and three small children, Mrs. CHISHOLM leaves a mother, two sisters and four brothers to mourn their loss. The remains were conveyed to Stellarton on Tuesday, where funeral services were held with Requiem High Mass on Wednesday morning, interment being in the R.C. cemetery.
