OBITUARY

HOBIN, Mary Ellen - 81, 172 Fraser St., New Glasgow, died Wednesday in
Aberdeen Hospital, New Glasgow. Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of
the late John and Annie (Lonar) Meagher. She was a member of the St.
John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, New Glasgow, and was active in
church work. She was a charter member of the New Glasgow and Trent
senior citizens clubs, was active in the farmer's marker, and was a
survivor of the Halifax Explosion. She is survived by a daughter, Anne,
a son, Richard, both of New Glasgow. Besides her husband, Richard, she
was predeceased by several brothers and sisters. The body is in R.H.
Porter's Funeral Home, New Glasgow. Funeral service will be 10 a.m.
Saturday in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Rev. Angus
MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, New Glasgow.
